Marine grade plywood is of an even better quality than BWR grade, and used in conditions where the plywood is sure to get a prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions such as even being submerged in water. It is the ideal choice for building ships, boats and other such marine applications.
BWR grade means Boiling Water Resistant plywood.
It's a waterproof exterior grade plywood of good quality, that is suitable for most home furniture requirements. Most of the interior designers and carpenters, prefer to use BWR plywood for making kitchen cabinets and other kitchen furniture
MR grade Commercial plywood is the most widely used type of plywood for making furniture for homes and offices. Drawing room furniture and paneling work, as well as bedroom furniture is almost always made using Commercial ply. However in those cases where the furniture is likely to get wet, using BWR grade ply is considered to be better.
The core of the blockboard is made from solid blocks of wood (These blocks are rectangular elongated blocks/strips obtained from a semi-hardwood timber). Then as in the case of plywood, these blocks are glued / bonded with layers of veneer.
